ON A CLEAN SLATE ~ Dr Law Osondu

The first impression that greets anybody that enters a developed nation is existence of orderliness and cleanliness. It is usually a reflection of the sanity or lack thereof in that community. Concerned Imo citizens with mind for good living have complained in vain for a change for years.

A window of opportunity has just showed up with the accedence of Hon. Emeka Ihedioha. It is therefore time to buy in and help rebuild Imo State On a Clean Slate. All hands must be on deck. We are usually quick to express our hopeless and loss of faith believe that no organised system can work here. That is not true like all stereotypes are false.

Now that a 'Daniel has come to judgement' let us give it our best shot and try to keep our environment as clean as ever. Besides the quest for good health, clean environment is next.

On a Clean Slate is a consortium of cleaning and waste management companies working together to come up with the best waste management cenario for Imo State. Cost of cleaning the state has always been a problem considering the meager resources of the state. On a Clean Slate plans to rather make waste management a revenue generator in the state. We need all to prepare for a change and a permanent one for that matter. With this effort it will no longer be business as usual in Imo State.
Every change comes with its challenges so will this. A stitch in time always saves nine. We will catch it at the threshold of every home. We want a state with neither dumping, nor littering on our streets.
We want the State on a clean Slate, so help us God.
